United Way launches new program

A free online learning program launching this week provides lessons and resources for Illinois residents to learn about racial issues and systemic inequalities together.

The 21 Week Equity Challenge is an effort of the United Way of Illinois, giving people the opportunity to learn both personally and professionally and have conversations toward racial understanding and healing.

Through the challenge, individuals, families, friends and co-workers are encouraged to have racial equity conversations to gain a deeper understanding about the impact systemic racism and inequality have on our state and in local communities.

Supporters include Healing Illinois, State of Illinois and the Chicago Community Trust.
