Unemployment remains steady in Illinois

The unemployment rate in Illinois remains steady, according to the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

IDES reports the jobless rate in the state was unchanged last month at 4.8 percent.

Non-farm payroll jobs increased by over 7,000 during April.
