Saints advance to Saturday afternoon

The volleyball Saints keep rolling and are now in the final four.

St. Mary’s 8th grade volleyball team won both matches Friday 25-16 and 25-11 and take on Washington St. Patrick at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at Bishop Mac in the IESA state tournament. If they win, they advance to the state championship at 3:15 p.m. and if they lose, they will play for third place at 2 p.m.

In game one Friday, Bevin Brummel had 10 points, Harper Francis 3 and Alexis Legner and McKenna Woodcock with 2. Bevin Brummel had 3 kills and Harper Francis had 2 kills.

In game two, Izzy Hinz had 11 points while Alexis Legner had 3. Kendall Loyer, Bevin Brummel and Harper Francis each had 3 kills.
