Republicans win county board race



In the four-way race for District One of the Livingston County Board, three Republicans defeated the lone Democratic candidate.


James A. Carley, Regina “Gina” Manker and Marty Fannin were elected to the board. Manker had 3146 votes, Carley had 3135 and Fannin had 2650.


The three defeated Democrat Mary E. Comens who had 1721 votes.


These unofficial results as of late Tuesday evening are with 11 of 11 precincts reporting.


Also in Livingston County, State’s Attorney Michael Regnier, Circuit Clerk candidate Jacquelyn Gragson and Coroner Michael Renner all ran unopposed. Regnier received 14,162 votes, Gragson received 14,090 and Renner had 14,267.


In District Two of the Livingston County Board, those elected include Gerald L. Earing, Steven J. Lovell and Michael Haag. The three ran unopposed.


District Three Livingston County Board winners include Rebekah Fehr, Craig W. Monson and Leroy Rodriguez. They also run unopposed.


Livingston County voters overwhelmingly chose Donald Trump/JD Vance in the presidential race over Kamala Harris/Tim Walz 11,926 to 4,269.
