Those walking through the new Casson Media studios will experience a trip down local radio memory lane.

While the studios have new digital equipment, some vintage displays are scattered throughout.

“The studio space was definitely needed,” said Casson Media’s Kent Casson. “While the studios showcase broadcast technology, they also pay tribute to radio past, which is pretty amazing.”

Photos on the wall even feature local broadcast personalities of the past and Kent’s time growing up in the radio industry.

The studios are used for recorded and live programs heard on the Central Illinois Farm Network and Route 24 Radio.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday with members of the Pontiac and Fairbury chambers present.
