Peoria considered one of top spots

Travel and Leisure magazine considers Peoria one of the top places to live in Illinois.

The city placed seventh on the magazine’s list, ahead of Moline, Rockford and Chicago. Peoria’s affordability was noted with homes priced more than $200,000 below the national average. Other positive factors in the ranking included Peoria’s parks and two colleges.

Peoria includes the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria and Bradley University.
