Pedestrian struck on I-55 near Bloomington

The McLean County Coroner has released information on a fatal traffic crash along Interstate 55 southbound near mile marker 158 at Bloomington Friday.

David E. Williams, 58, was pronounced dead at 5:21 p.m. Preliminary autopsy information reveals Williams died from multiple blunt traumatic injuries due to a pedestrian struck by an automobile on an interstate highway. Toxicology testing is pending.

The incident is under investigation by the McLean County Coroner's Office at Illinois State Police.
