The 2024 Livingston County Fair King and Queen have been crowned.
Maelee Palmer of the Waldo Peppy Club was named queen Wednesday night while Trevor Brown of the Flanagan Town and Country Club was announced as the king.
Palmer is from Gridley and recently graduated from El Paso-Gridley High School.
“This is my tenth year in 4-H and I’m just excited to see what the future holds for me,” Palmer said.
Her projects have included floriculture, cooking, visual arts and goats. Palmer plans to attend Heartland Community College to further her education.
Brown will be a senior at Flanagan this year and has been in 4-H nine years.
“I’ve done woodworking, goats and poultry,” he explained.
Also on Wednesday night, Livingston County Fair Board scholarships were presented to Emma Donze, Brianna Hilleary and Emerson Weber. Anyone in their graduating year of high school and in 4-H can apply for the scholarship.
