Normal to conduct citizen survey

The Normal Police Department will be conducting a Citizen’s Survey as part of their ongoing accreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies.

The survey is designed to measure and improve the quality of policing in the community. The questions relate to the agency’s overall performance, professionalism of staff, community engagement, and seeks recommendations to improve services. This survey is done in addition to a quality check questionnaire, which are distributed quarterly.

Public input is essential in the Police Department’s continued effort to provide effective police services and protection to all members of the community. They encourage citizens to complete the survey online at: The survey will be posted online from November 11, 2020 through December 11, 2020.

If a citizen wishes to receive a paper survey, please call Jessica Ryan at 454-9532, who will have a survey mailed to them.
