State Police have announced arrests in western Illinois for murder and obstructing justice.

Davin M. Purden, 18, and Nicholas C. Lafary, 17, were arrested for first-degree murder, which is a Class M felony. Both are from Bushnell, Illinois. Patricia Purden, 37, and a 17-year-old female were taken into custody for obstructing justice.

Agents were requested to conduct a death investigation in the 600 block of Osbourne Street in Bushnell. During the investigation, Travis Purden, 43, was discovered dead in his residence with multiple gunshot wounds. The suspects were identified after an extensive investigation involving the review of surveillance camera footage and interviews.

Arrest warrants were issued June 4 with suspects taken to the McDonough County Jail. State Police say no further information will be released at this time and this is an active and ongoing investigation.
