Man shot in Bloomington


On Saturday, 1/23/2021, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Bloomington officers were dispatched to the Bloomington Fire Department Headquarters, 310 N. Lee St, for a person who was shot requesting medical attention.


Bloomington firefighters rendered first aid to the victim, and ultimately transported him to Carle BroMenn Medical Center. During the investigation, officers learned that the 34-year-old male victim was shot while walking in the 200 block of N. Oak St. Officers also located additional evidence that a shooting had occurred.


Bloomington Police Department's Crime Scene Unit processed the crime scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation. At the time of the shooting, the victim was reported to be in stable condition. No arrests have been made, there is no suspect information to release at this time, and there were no other reported injuries.
