The candidates for Livingston County Fair king and queen have been announced ahead of this week’s event to be held at 4-H Park near Pontiac starting Wednesday.

This year’s lone king candidate is Levi Tucker, son of Rick and Renee Tucker of the Odell Tip Top Club. He plans to go to Illinois Central College to study HVAC and then work for the family business.

Two are running for fair queen, including Mya Wulzen and Samantha Johns.

Wulzen is the daughter of Greg and Marci Wulzen and a member of the Wide Awake Timberline club. She is going to Joliet Junior College for ag production and management to either work on a cattle farm or a thoroughbred farm.

Johns is the daughter of Vic and Tammy Johns and belongs to the Pontiac Power Rockets. She will be a sophomore at Illinois State University majoring in exercise science, allied health and physical education with plans to get her masters in athletic training.

The Livingston County Fair king and queen will be crowned Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the grandstand area ahead of the rodeo.
