Iowa man arrested after police pursuit

A man from West Des Moines, Iowa was arrested this week after an incident near Goodfield.
The Woodford County Sheriff’s Office reports Elijah Sack, 20, led police on a pursuit on eastbound I-74 Friday morning when the vehicle turned onto a rural road which came to a dead end. Sack reportedly fled from the vehicle before deputies could arrive and a police K9 team and a drone were used to locate Sack who had fled into a pond.
It was reported that Sack had carjacked the vehicle while displaying a knife. He was arrested for obstructing a police officer, aggravated fleeing and eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle and trespass to property.
This remains an ongoing investigation.
