Holiday museum tours this weekend

It's a great time to see Pontiac's three house museums during the holidays.

This Saturday Nov. 30, each home will be open special hours. Additionally, the Catherine V. Catharine V. Yost House and Museum at 298 W. Water St and the Jones House at 314 E. Madison St are decorated for Christmas. To give busy Christmas shoppers a chance to see each house at a leisurely pace the hours are staggered.

The Yost House will be open from 1-4 pm and the Jones House will be open from 4-7pm. The Jason Strevell House at 401 W. Livingston St will also be open from 1-4 pm. While not decorated for Christmas a number of exhibits chronicle Abraham Lincoln's connection to Pontiac.Tours at each home are always free, provided by Livingston County Historical Society volunteers.
