Gun, drugs seized in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON – A handgun and illegal drugs were seized by Bloomington police as a result of two arrests late last week.

Ransom D. Fellers, 22, was taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and illegal drug sales. A loaded pistol was seized along with a variety of controlled substances. Brandy L. Collins, 21, was also arrested for possessing a controlled substance.

Both Fellers and Collins were arrested by the Bloomington Police Department Street Crimes Unit, which focuses primarily on preventing violent crimes by enforcing crimes related to shootings, weapons possession, drug possession or other violent crimes.
