Fatal wreck at Ellsworth

The McLean County sheriff and coroner are investigating a fatal wreck which occurred at Ellsworth Monday.

A 40-year-old man and driver of the vehicle involved was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m. The passenger was transported to an area hospital and an autopsy was scheduled. The accident happened at the intersection of roads 2675 East and 1000 North roads.

The man’s name has not been released, pending notification of family.

“This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Mclean County Sheriff’s Department,” said a news release.

Responding agencies included the McLean County Sheriff’s Department, Ellsworth Fire Department and LeRoy Ambulance.
