Charity golf outing Aug. 25 at Wolf Creek

The 2024 Cops & Kids Golf Outing, sponsored by the Livingston County FOP Lodge #186 and SOCU, is set for Sunday, Aug. 25 at Wolf Creek Golf Course.

Registration starts at 12 p.m. with tee off at 1 p.m. and a shotgun start. Livingston County FOP Lodge #186 hopes to raise $18,000 for the Cops and Kids Holiday Shopping.

Police, correctional officers, firemen, EMTs and volunteers have taken nearly 900 children shopping since 2012 and 93 alone last year.

There are plenty of opportunities for community support to ensure they have a successful event and give back to the community by providing a happy holiday for kids in need.

Sponsorships include dinner sponsor and foursome for $2,000; team sponsor, foursome and hole sponsor for $375, foursome only for $300 and a hole sponsor for $100. Cost is $75 per golfer, includes green fee and cart, contests and prizes followed by dinner. They are in need of golf balls, tees or anything else which might be useful to the 140 golfers.
