Bohm wins highway commissioner race

It appears Robin Bohm has won the race for Pontiac Township Highway Commissioner over Jeremy Haas 440-309, based on unofficial results posted by the Livingston County Clerk’s office Tuesday evening.


Republican Kelly A. Eckhoff was officially chosen as Pontiac’s next mayor after receiving 523 votes and running unopposed Tuesday after defeating incumbent Bill Alvey back in February’s primary. There was no Democratic candidate.


The Cornell CCSD 426 proposition to increase the limiting rate was defeated with 132 no votes to 80 yes votes.


Prairie Central voters in all three of the district’s counties approved the district proposition to issue $38,000,000 school buildings bonds with a total of 2,095 yes votes to 1,536 no. The four winners for PC school board were Ashley Fehr, John Wilken, Brian Plenert and Michael Reiners.


The three winners for Forrest Village Trustee included Keith Beal, Robert Haab and Ronald Steidinger. They defeated Brad Brucker and Brittany Steidinger.


For Chatsworth Town President, incumbent Richard Runyon defeated Michael Ifland 211-57.


The race for Pleasant Ridge Township Highway Commissioner saw Derek Stephens defeat Anthony Brown 52-45.


In Fayette Township, Matthew Steidinger defeated Mark Yoder for highway commissioner by a vote of 61-36.


Livingston County had a 24.6 percent voter turnout in the Consolidated Election.
