Arrests made for stolen firearm

Two people were arrested in Woodford County and transported to the sheriff’s office where they were charged with possession of a stolen firearm and no valid FOID card.

Authorities say a vehicle was stopped for speeding on Route 24 just west of El Paso earlier in the week. The Woodford County Deputy identified two individuals in the vehicle, 28-year-old Kali Pray of Groveland and passenger, 23-year-old Drake Tharp of Creve Coeur.

A search of the vehicle revealed raw cannabis and a stolen Smith & Wesson 38 special in the center compartment of the vehicle.
