Arrest made after Bloomington apartment fire

A 45-year-old Bloomington man was arrested following an apartment complex fire late Wednesday.
Bloomington Police announced the arrest of Tavarus C. Murray for aggravated arson/knowing people are present, residential arson and criminal damage to property.
Authorities were dispatched to the 1000 block of Four Seasons Road in response to the fire. Firefighters were already on the scene and requested police assistance with a potential arson investigation.
Fire personnel confirmed the fire had been extinguished by an occupant within minutes of receiving the call.
While there were no injuries reported, property damage to the building is estimated to exceed $1,000.
