Pontiac Police arrested a juvenile on drug and firearm charges last week.
Authorities received information of a local juvenile being in possession of various narcotics and a firearm on Thursday. The individual was allegedly trying to sell the narcotics and was looking to obtain ammunition.
Officers located the 15-year-old in a parking lot on Custer Avenue and in his possession found an unloaded .22 caliber revolver, 50 dosage units of purported Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, or LSD, a jar containing around 52 grams of cannabis, a digital scale, empty plastic bags and $328 in cash.
The juvenile was on probation in Livingston County and was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and unlawful use of a weapon. He was then transported to the McLean County Juvenile Detention Center pending a detention/shelter hearing.
