Man found dead after mowing accident

A Normal man was found dead this week after a mowing accident.

A joint news release from Bloomington Police and the McLean County Coroner’s Office states Hunter W. Arbuckle, 25, was found trapped under a large mower on Wednesday in the 1200 block of North Hershey Road in Bloomington. After investigating the scene, officers called for the coroner’s office to respond.

Arbuckle was pronounced dead by Coroner Kathleen Yoder. Preliminary autopsy findings indicated Arbuckle died from traumatic compressional asphyxia sustained as the operator of a riding lawnmower which overturned. Toxicology tests are pending.
