Towanda business damaged by fire

No major injuries were reported after a structure fire at Precision Tooling Group in Towanda Monday morning.

Thanks to the efforts of several fire departments, crews were able to save some machinery in the shop and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Smoke could be seen for miles from the business located on south Quincy Street.

Two aerial trucks responded to the scene to assist in the firefighting efforts along with specialized trucks to transport water from a water source to the location of the fire.
