Wreck near Colfax leaves 1 dead

COLFAX – A 28-year-old man has died after an accident near Colfax early Wednesday.

The McLean County Coroner and Sheriff say the man was pronounced dead at 4:45 a.m. and an autopsy has been scheduled. The incident is under investigation by both offices and assisting agencies included McLean County Sheriff’s Police, Colfax Fire Department and LeRoy Ambulance.

The automobile accident occurred on 3400 East Road near 1800 North Road. The accident victim’s name has not yet been released, pending family notification.
