Wreck leaves one dead

LEROY – A 36-year-old man was pronounced dead following an accident which occurred northeast of LeRoy Thursday morning.

The incident, which occurred at McLean County 3200 East Road near 600 North, remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and Sheriff’s Department. The coroner’s office was notified shortly before 6 a.m. while the man was pronounced dead at 6:35.

McLean County Sheriff’s Police, LeRoy Police, LeRoy Ambulance and LeRoy firefighters responded to the scene along with the coroner. An autopsy has been scheduled at the victim’s name is not being released until family is notified.
