UPDATE: Motorcycle struck pole

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Coroner Dr. Kathy Yoder has released more information on a fatal crash involving a single motorcycle which occurred Saturday on Hamilton Road in Bloomington, near State Farm Plaza South.

David L. Peterson, 47, of Bloomington was pronounced dead at 1:41 p.m. and preliminary autopsy results indicate Peterson died of blunt injuries due to his motorcycle striking a light pole. He was reportedly the sole occupant of the vehicle and toxicology tests are pending.

The incident remains under investigation by Bloomington Police and the McLean County Coroner’s Office.
