Pedestrian hit, killed by train
BLOOMINGTON – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train on Bloomington’s west side Thursday morning.
A joint statement from Bloomington Police and the McLean County Coroner says officers responded to the intersection of west Front Street and south Allin Street for a medical call. A 60-year-old man was located and was reported to have been struck by a train. The man was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy was completed by the coroner’s office and the man’s name was not immediately released as next of kin was notified.
