Officer's death mourned

BLOOMINGTON – Very little information is being released about the death of a Bloomington Police officer.

In a news release issued Thursday, the department said the officer passed away this week due to health complications from an ongoing battle with cancer.

“Out of respect for the officer’s family, his information and funeral information is being kept private at this time,” the released stated.
