Whalen arrested for escape

On Thursday, April 30 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Bloomington Police Department's Street Crimes Unit arrested Donald J. Whalen Jr., 53, of Bloomington.

Whalen was arrested without incident at his residence in the 900 block of N. Oak St. for felony McLean County warrants. The warrant charges were for nine felony counts of Escape; failure to comply with a condition of the electronic monitoring or home detention program. Whalen is being held at the McLean County Jail. Whalen's bond amount is $200,000 - 10% to apply.
