A man has been arrested after a reported firearm burglary from a Pontiac store.

Pontiac Police were dispatched to a burglar alarm at Stock and Field on West Reynolds Street late Saturday night. Officers observed the glass doors smashed upon their arrival and officials say Kyle D. Sullivan was trying to exit the building and was taken into custody without incident.

Authorities report Sullivan had 14 firearms in his possession – all pistols taken from the business. He was taken to the Livingston County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

Back on April 24, police say Sullivan was arrested for aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after an incident in which police were told he pointed a pistol at a juvenile. That was determined to be a BB pistol. Due to COVID-19, he was not accepted at the jail and was released on a notice to appear. Also, on March 28, Sullivan was arrested for burglary to a motor vehicle and released on a notice to appear then as well due to COVID-19.
