Man stabbed in Bloomington

Bloomington Police officers were dispatched to the 800 block of S. East St. for a stabbing Friday morning.

It was reported that a 19-year-old male victim was walking on the sidewalk when he was stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located the victim and rendered first aid. The victim had injuries consistent with a stab wound. Bloomington Fire and Rescue transported the victim to St. Joseph's Emergency Room.

The victim is in stable condition. The circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still under investigation. Bloomington's Crime Scene Unit processed the crime scene. There have been no arrests made and there were no other injuries reported. Bloomington detectives are still investigating the incident. There is no additional information to release.
