Missing man's body found

A missing Downs man’s body was located in a private pond Saturday and he was pronounced dead.

The McLean County Coroner and Sheriff report authorities were dispatched to a residence in rural Downs April 11 in reference to a missing person. Family had reported Tyler J. Graf, 31, was last seen on a trail along a creek near his residence. Law enforcement and volunteers conducted several searches of water and land in the surrounding area.

On Saturday, Illinois DNR police were requested with special sonar equipment to help in the search. Graf’s body was located near 8005 Elm in Downs. An autopsy is scheduled for this week at the McLean County Coroner’s office.

“The McLean County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all assisting agencies for the countless manhours spent on the search,” a news release stated.
