Man arrested for arson


On Monday, 4-13-2020, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Bloomington Fire Department and the Bloomington Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of E. Bissell St. for a report of a structure fire and domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers gathered information about the fire. It was reported that a male lit the residence on fire stemming from an argument that occurred earlier. A 34-year-old adult female and a teenage juvenile female were inside the residence when the fire was lit. They escaped uninjured from the fire.

During the investigation, Bloomington officers arrested, Andrew L. Stanley, 37, of the 800 block E. Bissell St., Bloomington for Aggravated Arson (Class X felony). Stanley is being held at the McLean County Jail. No bond information is available at this time. The incident is still under investigation by the Bloomington Police Department and the Bloomington Fire Department.
