Last week, Bloomington officers observed a vehicle parked near several closed businesses in the area of the 1600 block of Morrissey Drive.
While the officer watched the vehicle, an occupant of the vehicle walked to the nearby gas station. Another officer, who was conducting a business check at the gas station, identified and arrested that person for two active McLean County misdemeanor warrants.
The male was arrested without incident. Meanwhile, the other officer spoke with the occupants of the vehicle. Another occupant of the vehicle was identified as Jordan Reiss, 29, of Lexington. Reiss also had an active McLean County warrant and was arrested without incident. Once he was arrested, officers searched him incident to arrest. Reiss had illegal drugs, metal knuckles, and drug paraphernalia on his person.
Officers also located a large amount of illegal drugs and drug sales/packaging material in his backpack.
Seized from Reiss' person and property: -Drug paraphernalia -Drug packaging / sales material -Other Controlled Substance (variety of pills) -Brass knuckles -Methamphetamine weighing approximately 25 grams (.88 ounces)
Reiss was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. All suspect(s) are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in the court of law.
