Another resident tests positive


PONTIAC – Another Livingston County resident has tested positive for COVID-19 which means there are now six confirmed cases in that county.

Livingston County Health Department officials were notified of the new case on Thursday. The male is in his 60s and recovering at home in isolation. Local health officials continue to work with the Illinois Department of Public Health and have notified any individuals who may have been exposed to the individual.

Over 60 COVID-19 test results have been received by the Health Department. Of that, 54 tests came back negative and six were positive. Two test results are still pending.

McLean County Update:

As of Thursday, McLean County reported 31 cases, two deaths, six recovered, six hospitalized and 17 in home isolation. Around 61 percent of the cases are female and 39 percent male.

Other counties in Illinois:

Counties with their first reported cases include: Moultrie, Piatt, DeWitt, Logan, Mercer and Lee.
