Second death in McLean County


BLOOMINGTON – A second death from coronavirus has been reported in McLean County.

That county’s Health Department reports the person was a man in his 70s who had no history of travel or exposure. He reportedly tested positive for the disease in early March. A new case was also reported in McLean County – a woman in her 80s who is in the hospital.

In a statement, McLean County Health Department administrator Jessica McKnight said the county remains dedicated to working with local health partners to respond to the pandemic. She encourages the public to observe the current stay-at-home order.

MORE LIVINGSTON COUNTY CASES:

Meanwhile, in Livingston County, three more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 and health officials were notified of the three new cases on Tuesday in accordance with state and local public health protocol.

These individuals include a man in his 70s who is currently hospitalized, a female in her 80s who is also hospitalized and a woman in her 50s recovering at home in isolation.
