More than 1,000 new cases
More than a thousand new cases of coronavirus were announced by the state’s department of public health on Sunday.
New cases include a LaSalle County man in his 80s, a St. Clair County woman in her 70s and a Du Page County man in his 60s along with several new Cook County cases. Also, the counties of Bond, Knox, Menard and Montgomery counties are now reporting cases of COVID-19.
As of Sunday, IDPH reported 4,596 cases in Illinois including 65 deaths in 47 different counties. Ages of those impacted range from less than a year to 99 years old.
LOCAL TESTING OFFERED IN MCLEAN COUNTY:
Meanwhile, COVID-19 testing is being offered for Central Illinois residents at the McLean County Fairgrounds. The community-based testing site operates daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can test up to 250 eligible individuals. More information can be obtained at https://health.mcleancountyil.gov.
