Statewide virus changes announced
Due to the coronavirus, Gov. J.B. Pritzker has announced bars and restaurants in the state will be closed to dine-in customers, effective this week.
As of the weekend, there were 93 COVID-19 cases in 13 Illinois counties. Also, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources has closed access to all state parks. New Centers for Disease Control guidelines recommend against public gatherings of 50 or more people for 8 weeks.
Starting Tuesday, all Illinois schools are closed until the end of March. So far, Tuesday's Illinois Primary Election is still on.
