CULLOM – A triple homicide in Cullom on Christmas remains under investigation.
Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson said dispatchers received a call around 2:05 a.m. Wednesday. Livingston County Sheriff’s Police, Riverside Ambulance and Cullom Fire all responded to the scene. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene and autopsies were ordered.
“The incident is being investigated by the Illinois State Police, Livingston County Sheriff’s Police and the Livingston County Coroner’s Office,” said a statement from Watson. “The names of the deceased are being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.”
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department issued a news release later in the day stating a suspect was in custody with first degree murder charges pending. Police said this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the community.
