Man faces child porn charges

Wyoming, IL – On Thursday, August 29 at approximately 6:30 a.m., Illinois State Police Zone 4 Investigations and District 08 Patrol, members from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, Central Illinois Emergency Response Team, and Peoria County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in rural Stark County.

Pursuant to the search warrant, a search of a residence and vehicle were conducted. The search resulted in digital equipment being found in the home and vehicle operated by Rodney A. King.

A Special Federal Officer from the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office conducted an on-scene examination of several items of digital equipment and determined child pornography was present. Rodney A. King, age 50, 10785 Modena Road, Wyoming, Illinois was arrested by Illinois State Police Zone 4 Special Agents for possession and dissemination of child pornography and lodged at the Stark County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
