Wind farm construction continues
CHENOA – Construction continues on the Bright Stalk Wind Farm from EDP Renewables in the Chenoa and Lexington areas of McLean County.
According to the company’s website, activities this week have included continued deliveries along with ongoing road repairs, ditch cleaning and maintenance on all roads within the project area. Concrete is being delivered to some turbines and components are traveling on these roads: E 3160, County Highway 13, E 2600, E 2900, N 3050, E 2800 and N 2950.
The first complete tower installations are taking place this week at T 75, 93, 92 and 76.
Next week looks to be busy as well according to the company with in excess of 120 trips of concrete trucks each day to receive concrete and aggregate to the batch plant and delivery of concrete to the foundations. This covers the time period Aug. 4-10.
