Men arrested on abuse charges


BLOOMINGTON - On Thursday, 05-23-19, members of the Bloomington Police's Street Crimes Unit and members of U.S. Marshal's Great Lakes Regional Task Force arrested two men in connection with separate serious sexual abuse cases in which the victims were minors.

Arrested were: Juan J. Lorenzo, 41, of Bloomington, for 8 counts of predatory criminal sexual abuse / victim under 13.

Josue Rodriguez-Soto, 40, of Bloomington, for 20 counts of several sexual abuse cases against a minor victim (age 13-18). Both have $1,000,000 bond, with 10% to apply.

They are being held in the McLean County Jail. Both arrests stem from separate investigations into the long term sexual abuse of the minor victims. Out of protection of the minors, no more information will be released.
