Burned car discovered with driver inside
CHATSWORTH – The driver of a car traveling in Livingston County’s Charlotte Township near Chatsworth was “burned beyond recognition” according to the county coroner.
A passerby reported a burnt 2003 Buick four-door automobile shortly after 10 a.m. Monday on a guard rail at 3225 East and 1000 North Road. An autopsy on the remains will be performed and Coroner Danny Watson says positive identification will be made by using dental records or DNA.
Agencies assisting at the scene included: Chatsworth Fire and EMS, SELCAS Ambulance, Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and the Livingston County Coroner. The accident remains under investigation.
