Death investigation in Peoria

PEORIA – The United States Marshals Service (USMS) requested Illinois State Police investigate a death which occurred on Bestor Street, Peoria, Illinois during the evening hours of Tuesday March, 26, 2019.

Representatives from the USMS went to the residence where they determined Roger D. Thompson III, male, 09/13/1996, a subject who had a parole violation warrant, was located.

While attempting to call Thompson out, initial reports indicate a single gunshot was heard from within the residence. Preliminary investigation suggests Thompson died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
