SPORTS: GCMS heading to Peoria

Another convincing win for the GCMS boys basketball team as they defeat Pleasant Plains in the Springfield Super Sectional Tuesday night by a score of 52-37. The Falcons led by nine at the half.

Now, it’ll be two state tournaments in one school year for the Falcons – this time in basketball – as they advance to the state semifinal Friday night at the Peoria Civic Center.

The GCMS football team won the state championship back in November.
