Ellsworth man dies in wreck

ELLSWORTH – A single vehicle accident near Ellsworth Sunday morning has claimed a man’s life.

The McLean County Coroner’s Office was notified of the accident at 7:43 a.m. at 2850 East 975 North Road. Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Ellsworth Fire Department were already on the scene.

The victim was not wearing a seatbelt, according to authorities, and was pronounced dead at the scene. As of Sunday afternoon, the McLean County Coroner’s Office said the name was being withheld pending notification of family. An autopsy has been scheduled.

Sunday’s incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner and Sheriff’s Department.
