Obituary: Regenold


Michael Robert Regenold, 61 of Chenoa passed away at 6:20 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his residence in rural Chenoa.

Funeral services will be 11 am, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Chenoa Baptist Church, Chenoa with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will take place in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa.

Visitation will be one hour prior to his funeral on Tuesday also at the Church in Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Chenoa Baptist Church or the charity of donor’s choice.

Michael was born March 28, 1957 in Pontiac; the son of Charles “Bob” and Ethel (Henline) Regenold. His mother, Ethel Regenold survives in Chenoa. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Bob” Regenold, one brother Joseph Regenold and one daughter, Holly Regenold in 2004.

Also surviving are one son, Nathan Regenold of Tallahassee, FL; two grandsons, Devon & Xander, five sisters, Deborah Kiblinger of Goodfield; Rebecca (Mitchell) Griffin of Lake Oswego, OR; Sandra (Louis) Burger of Chenoa; Robin (Frank) Cipolletti of Gurnee; Jennifer (Chris) Sims of Noblesville, IN; two brothers, John (Anita) Regenold of Pontiac; Richard (Teresa) Regenold of Jackson, MI.

Mike was a 1975 graduate of Chenoa High School and served our country in the US Navy from 1975 to 1977. He was an over the road truck driver for Williams National Lease of Normal for many years. Mike was a gifted and talented artist in many different ways, from basic sketching and painting to sculptures of stone, metal and wood. His creative, loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
