Special county meeting is Thursday
PONTIAC – A special meeting of the Livingston County Board has been scheduled for this Thursday (Jan. 10) to consider a resolution placing two referendums on the April 2 election ballot.
The issue deals with a new tax rate and an increase in the limiting rate applicable to the county. The imposition of the tax is not to exceed .025 percent for the purpose of providing social services for senior citizens.
This Thursday’s meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the historic courthouse in downtown Pontiac.
