Man charged with DUI after lot incident
BLOOMINGTON – A man was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, driving without headlights and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident in Bloomington.
Ruell Brown reportedly drove without headlights, failed to stay in his lane of travel and entered a parking lot on west Oakland Avenue before striking a concrete base and light pole. A police officer noticed a strong odor of alcohol on Brown’s breath.
McLean County court officials found probable cause to detain Brown for DUI and set his bond at $1,000. Bond conditions include no consumption or possession of alcohol or other mind-altering substances.
