Armed robbery in Bloomington

On Sunday, 12/16/18, at 1:26 p.m., Bloomington Police were dispatched to Casey’s General Store, 2017 Fox Creek Road, for an armed robbery.

It was reported a Casey’s employee was in his vehicle in the Casey’s parking lot when one suspect pointed a pistol at him. The suspect robbed the employee of over $5,000 cash. The suspect fled the scene with another person in a vehicle. Bloomington officers quickly located the suspects and took them into custody.

Mary Harris, 29, of Bloomington, Illinois, and Calvin Harris, 31, of Rockford, Illinois, were arrested for Armed Robbery and Unlawful Restraint. No injuries were reported from the incident.
